Use the future tense for actions expected in the future.
E.g. I will call you on Wednesday.
We often express future actions with the expression to be going to.
E.g. I am going to move to another apartment soon.

On the SAT, you’ll find sentences that are wrong because a verb is in the wrong tense. English has six tenses, and each has a simple form and a progressive form.
Simple Progressive
