On the SAT, you’ll find sentences that are wrong because a verb is in the wrong tense. English has six tenses, and each has a simple form and a progressive form.
Simple Progressive
Present I work I am working
Past I worked I was working
Future I will work I will be working
Present Perfect I have worked I have been working
Past Perfect I had worked I had been working
Future Perfect I will have worked I will have been working
