  • Payment Data: When you make purchases, we collect billing information (e.g., name, address, and ZIP code). Payment details are securely handled by our third-party providers; we do not store sensitive card information.
  • Instructor Payment Data: For instructors, we collect necessary information (e.g., payment account details, tax information) to process payments.

We may receive data from third-party platforms like social media when you link them to your MultiHubEdu account. The data provided depends on your privacy settings and the platform’s policies.

1.3 Sweepstakes, Promotions, and Surveys

If you participate in any promotions, surveys, or challenges, we collect and store the data you provide, such as name, email, and address. This data may be used for notifying winners and distributing rewards.

Below are the scenarios in which we share your data:

  • With Your Instructors:
    We share data (excluding your email) with instructors and teaching assistants for courses you enroll in, helping them improve their content. This includes data such as your country, browser language, and course activities.

You have certain rights regarding your personal data, such as opting out of promotional emails, controlling cookie usage, and managing data shared with third parties. You can also update or terminate your account and submit requests regarding your data.

6.1 Your Choices About the Use of Your Data

  • Opting Out of Promotional Emails: Unsubscribe using the link in emails or adjust your email preferences in your account settings. Note that transactional emails related to account activities will still be sent.

  • Tailored Advertising: You can opt-out from tailored advertising through various platforms, including Google Ads, Network Advertising Initiative, and Digital Advertising Alliance.
  • Google Analytics: To opt-out from Google Analytics, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Mobile Platforms: Instructions for managing tailored advertising are available for Apple iOS, Android OS, and Microsoft Windows. You can also manage privacy settings for other operating systems and devices.

6.2 Accessing, Updating, and Deleting Your Personal Data

You can access and update your personal data collected by MultiHubedu:

  • Updating Data: Log in to your account to update your data at any time.
  • Terminating Your Account: Follow the account termination steps in your profile settings, depending on whether you are a student or instructor. If you face issues, contact Support.

Important: Even after account termination, some data may still be visible or retained for legitimate purposes (e.g., legal obligations or transactional records). Retained data may include shared content and information posted to third-party platforms.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, use MultiHubEdu’s online form or contact us via email at privacy@ MultiHubEdu.com. We will respond within 30 days and may require identity verification.

6.3 Our Policy Concerning Children

We recognize the privacy interests of children and encourage parents to actively monitor their children’s online activities. Individuals under the required age for consent (13 in the US, 16 in Ireland) may only use the Services under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If we collect personal data from a child below the required age, we will take steps to delete it.

If parents believe that MultiHubEdu has collected data from a child under the required age, they can request its removal by contacting privacy@MultiHubEdu.com.

7. Jurisdiction-Specific Rules

MultiHubEdu acknowledges that different jurisdictions have unique privacy regulations. Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data, such as accessing or deleting it. Additionally, if you’re outside the U.S., your data may be transferred internationally.

7.1 Users in California

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which include:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request details about the personal information we collect and access a copy.
  • Right to Correction: You can request corrections to any inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete personal information collected about you.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: Exercising your rights under the CCPA will not result in discrimination or penalties.
  • Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Although MultiHubEdu does not traditionally sell personal data, we may share non-personally identifiable information with third parties via cookies for advertising purposes. You can opt out of such practices through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our website.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@multihubedu.com. Under CCPA, you may also appoint an authorized agent to submit these requests on your behalf. For security purposes, we may need to verify your identity or your agent’s.

As a California resident, you can also request details about what personal data we share with third parties for direct marketing. To make this request, email us at privacy@multihubedu.com with the subject “California Shine the Light,” and include your mailing address and email.

We currently do not recognize or respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers.

7.2 Users in Nevada

MultiHubEdu does not sell personal information, but Nevada residents have the right to request that their data is not sold. To exercise this right, contact us at privacy@multihubedu.com.

7.3 Users in Australia

If you are an Australian resident and have a complaint regarding privacy, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au, email them at enquiries@oaic.gov.au, or call 1300 363 992. You may also contact our privacy team at privacy@multihubedu.com, and we will respond within 30 days.

7.4 Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (UK)

Users in the EEA and UK have specific rights, including the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of personal data, and the right to object to data processing. You can make such requests using the information in Section 6.2. If you’re located in these areas, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Your personal data may be processed outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland by our partners and service providers. We have established data protection agreements, including Standard Contractual Clauses, to facilitate these transfers in compliance with applicable regulations. By using our Services, you consent to these transfers.

7.5 Data Privacy Framework (For EEA, UK, and Swiss Data Subjects)

MultiHubEdu complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, as established by the U.S. Department of Commerce. We certify that we adhere to these frameworks for personal data transferred from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. To view our certification, visit Data Privacy Framework.

In case of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the DPF Principles, the DPF Principles will take precedence. The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over MultiHubEdu’s compliance with these frameworks.

If you have any concerns or inquiries regarding our adherence to the DPF, contact us at privacy@multihubedu.com. If your issue is unresolved, you may escalate your complaint to the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR-AAA). Their services are free of charge, and under specific circumstances, you may invoke binding arbitration.

7.6 Users Outside of the U.S.

If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, it is important to note that your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries. By using our Services, you consent to this transfer and acknowledge that the data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your home country.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. If any material changes occur, we will notify you by email, an in-product notice, or through another legally required mechanism. These changes become effective on the day they are posted, so we recommend checking the policy periodically.
